Coupling Projectiles can be use in non straight line pipes and other configurations; the tensile strength of the projectile allows sufficient flexibility to enable the projectile to compress through joints, couplings, kinks, turns and other reductions occurring in the hose, tube and pipe. Again contamination can be heavy but must not be corrosive.
